We design the lighting controls in-house, so the narrative, the submittal and what shows up on site all describe the same system. The goal is the most cost-efficient controls package that meets code.
Why the controls package goes wrong
On a typical job the fixtures come from one supplier, the controls from another, and the narrative from whoever had time. By the time the system is installed, the sequence of operations describes something slightly different from what's on the ceiling. That's where failed acceptance tests and callbacks come from.
When one team selects the fixtures, designs the controls and writes the narrative, those pieces agree from the start.
Systems we design
Sensors and switching
Occupancy and vacancy sensors, time switches and manual area controls: the core of Title 24's automatic shut-off requirements.
Dimming
0–10V and DALI dimming for multi-level lighting and tuning, matched to the drivers in the fixtures we specify.
Daylighting
Daylight-responsive controls for daylit zones, laid out so the photosensors see what they need to.
Networked, wireless and PoE
Networked lighting controls for larger spaces and demand response, including wireless systems for retrofits where pulling new low-voltage wiring doesn't make sense.
